This module assists higher education faculty who teach in programs that prepare teachers and school leaders. It shows them how to use resources from the Ohio Leadership Advisory Council (OLAC) and the Moving Your Numbers (MYN) project to infuse educational improvement concepts and skills into curricula that lead to teacher and principal licensure.
This module considers:
- Ohio’s Leadership Development Framework;
- The relevance of the Ohio Improvement Process to prospective educators;
- The alignment between OLAC resources and foundational (Transfer Assurance Guide—TAG) courses in teacher education curricula; and
- Various ways to use OLAC and Moving Your Numbers resources to augment courses in programs for teacher and administrator preparation
Receiving Credit for this Module
The Ohio Leadership Advisory Council offers educators credit and contact hours for OLAC work. Teachers, principals, and superintendents who are working toward license renewal can receive university credit for completing OLAC modules from a number of Ohio universities.
